An exchange meeting for Shenzhen and U.S. cross-border e-commerce was held online and offline Friday. Over 60 enterprises and organizations from Shenzhen and the U.S. attended the meeting via the Internet or in person.

The Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association and the Midwest USA Chinese Chamber of Commerce jointly convened the event.
The participants exchanged thoughts concerning challenges and opportunities under the pandemic. They also discussed opportunities for Shenzhen companies to search for partners and expand their overseas markets.
During the meeting, the Midwest USA Chinese Chamber of Commerce introduced the advantages of its member enterprises in cross-border e-commerce and expressed their willingness to cooperate with Shenzhen companies.
Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association officials showed the development of the city’s cross-border e-commerce industry and suggested that local enterprises promote their brands overseas.
In order to encourage more Shenzhen enterprises to go global and develop their overseas market, the Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau introduced many preferential policies for local firms.
An expert with law firm American Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP gave a speech about legal problems e-commerce firms might encounter in North America. DHL Express discussed challenges in logistics and the supply chain in the Asia-Pacific region.
A commerce bureau representative said the bureau had set up Shenzhen Global Economic and Trade Network Command Center during the first half of the year. The center aims to strengthen communication between enterprises’ Shenzhen headquarters and overseas representative offices. The center has held several meetings with Japan, Europe and North America.
