THE Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to China, Dumitru Braghis, has called for wider cooperation and business opportunities between Moldova and Shenzhen during a Moldovan wine tasting held yesterday in Longhua District.
Before the tasting, the ambassador appreciated the efforts of the Shenzhen Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Shenzhen Subcouncil of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in helping organize the event.
“I am glad to see our country’s wine being sold here in Shenzhen, one of the most advanced and prosperous areas in China with biggest potentials,” said the ambassador.
“We are looking forward to exchanges between Shenzhen and Moldova companies. Shenzhen is not only a good city for businesses but also for people to live,” he said.
The ambassador also appreciated the event’s role in enhancing the relationship and mutual understanding between the two countries.
Moldova has a well-established wine industry, with nearly more than 5,000 years of history.
Moldova is one of the five birthplaces of winemaking in the world and its wine is currently sold to over 70 countries.
Officials with the Shenzhen Subcouncil of CCPIT and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to China, business representatives in Shenzhen and invited guests attended the event.
Before the wine tasting, the Moldovan delegation also visited several Shenzhen-based companies including Tencent, Huawei and BYD on Monday and yesterday. (Shenzhen Daily)
