AS many as 180 robot companies will showcase their latest innovations at the Fair of AI and Robotics, plus (2025 FAIR plus), which is set to open at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District next week.

Scheduled for April 24–26, this three-day fair will be the largest and most diverse robotics industry exhibition ever held in Shenzhen. Over 300 professional buyers from around the world are expected to attend.

The event will feature academic conferences, technical seminars, community development programs, and product launch events. It aims to highlight the latest advancements in the robotics industry and further solidify Shenzhen’s position as a leader in the robotics value chain.

Leading robotics companies, including Shenzhen-based UBTECH and LimX Dynamics, as well as Hangzhou-based Unitree, will showcase their latest humanoid robots at the fair.

Tencent Robotics X Lab’s “The Five,” a hybrid home help robot, will interact with the public for the first time at the fair. U.S. maker of embodied AI robots for smart manufacturing eBots Inc. will make its global debut at the fair.

Additionally, the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences will set up a special zone for AI + robotics products. During the fair, SIAT will release the 2024 Shenzhen Robot Industry Development White Paper.

According to the “Humanoid 100: Mapping the Humanoid Robot Value Chain” report released by Morgan Stanley in February, China ranks first in the number of companies that made it onto the list with 37, including five from Taiwan Province. Seven of them are based in Shenzhen, with six engaged in core component manufacturing.

Shenzhen, at the heart of China’s technological frontier, is making a bold play to become the global epicenter of AI and robotics. In the 2025-2026 action plan for accelerating the development of a pioneer city in AI, it is projected that by 2026, Shenzhen will have over 3,000 AI companies, including over 10 unicorns.

Meanwhile, the AI industry is expected to experience an impressive average annual growth rate of over 20%. To further catalyze this growth, Shenzhen will establish over 10 innovation incubators for AI and embodied AI robotics. (Shenzhen Daily)
