WHILE Shenzhen has rolled out measures to become an international center of commerce, Luohu is working hard to keep up the pace so they may build core commercial areas in the district.

Luohu is home to various shopping malls, such as MixC, KK Mall, Sun Plaza and others. MixC had an annual revenue ranking first among the city’s shopping centers last year.

Throughout the consumer map in the district, Luohu has been divided in a method referred to as “One River Six Circles and One Belt.” One River refers to the Luohu section of Buji River, Six Circles includes Dongmen, Renmin South, and Sunggang-Qingshuihe markets, and the One Belt is the Luohu-Wenjindu-Liantang Checkpoint economic belt.

The “One River and Six Circles” idea was introduced and will begin implementation into one of the international business circles in the city’s business development plan between 2021 and 2025.

Dongmen is being upgraded to integrate with Shenzhen’s history, culture and emerging business.

With the debut of Wenheyou Superb in Dongmen, the popular complex originated from Changsha, the plan is for it to bring consumers new experience.

The big complex replicated the local street culture of the 1980s by decorating it with unique lights, rusty window frames and old fans, and also by selling local dishes.

It is located in Dongmen in Luohu District, a gateway between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, near the Luohu Checkpoint. This newly opened mall is targeted towards consumers from both cities. (Shenzhen News)
