EARLY Thursday morning, lines of photographers set up their cameras along Shenzhen Bay. Under soft sunlight and cozy winds, they tirelessly photographed birds in different angles and lighting conditions.

Shenzhen’s peak season for migratory birds has arrived. It always falls from October to April and birders can enjoy watching both migratory and resident birds.

Migratory birds, including gulls, black-winged stilts and cormorants, were seen playing and foraging in the waters, which nourish abundant fish, shrimp and crabs. Shenzhen is an important stopover of winter birds’ East Asia-Australia migratory route. (Shenzhen Daily)
