2021-12-28

Work on Shenzhen Finance Culture Center, located in the central area of Xiangmihu in Futian District, north of Shennan Boulevard, kicked off Sunday, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

The 17,312-square-meter center with a 63,920-square-meter floor area, is scheduled to be completed in 2024 and will be constructed into three platforms, namely the financial museum, and platforms for financial transactions and international exchange. It is the city’s major measure to serve the development of its financial and cultural industries in its effort to become a global regional culture center.

The finance museum will be a large facility for public leisure, cultural tourism and financial science education especially for juveniles. The international exchange platform will be built to hold high-level financial industry conferences and international conventions that will meet the requirements for financial industry development in the Xiangmihu area. The center will also serve as a platform for international financial and cultural transactions, art exhibitions, online and offline transactions, and auctions.

Construction of the finance center will be coordinated with Shenzhen Reform and Opening-up Exhibition Hall and Shenzhen International Performance Center. Projects of the one hall and two centers will be constructed in shapes of a square, circle and triangle along the northern side of Shennan Boulevard, with Shenzhen Finance Culture Center shaped as a triangle.

In northern Xiangmihu, the Shenzhen International Exchange Center, covering a 20-hectare area, will rise for international summits, international exchange activities and grand business conferences and gatherings. It is encompassed by Qiaoxiang Road in the north, Xiangmihu Road in the west and Hongli Road in the south. Facing Xiangmi Lake, the center will become a new city lounge surrounded by the lake and Xiangmi Park.

The center will be divided into a conference area and an auxiliary facility area. It will be a high-end conference exchange platform with exhibitions, catering, accommodations and leisure. The conference area will have 60 conference rooms and various dining hall sizes that can accommodate 15,000 people simultaneously.

The 4.9-square-kilometer Xiangmihu area is divided into three sections — the southern, central and northern sections, separated by Hongli Road and Shennan Boulevard. (Shenzhen Daily)
