A view of the under-construction Shenshan Bridge. The renovation project of Shenshan Boulevard has reached a landmark recently when the massive 227-meter arches on Shenshan Bridge joined together. The bridge spans 230 meters over Chishi River with the main arches stretching 227 meters and 41.3 meters high, and is designed as an eight-lane two-way road, with an investment of about 370 million yuan (US$51.64 million). The bridge, connecting both sides of Chishi River, is a node project for the reconstruction, expansion and upgrading of Shenshan Boulevard, which will greatly improve the road’s traffic efficiency.
